On June 1st, Springer released the book “Probabilistic Reasoning and Decision Making in Sensory-Motor Systems”. This book reports important contributions coming from the European projects Bayesian Inspired Brain and Artifact (BIBA) and Bayesian Approach to Cognitive Systems (BACS). The book dedicates two chapters to introduce the Bayesian programming paradigm and sixteen more on three different parts: robotics, industrial applications and cognitive modeling. The work addresses key issues concerned with Bayesian programming, navigation, filtering, modeling and mapping, with applications in a number of different contexts. This publication is the result of strong collaborations with academic and industrial partners from both information sciences and life sciences. Probayes participates with multiple chapters.
