With a new office in Puebla, Mexico, Probayes starts business in North and Latin America.
Mexico, first commercial power in Latin America has a privileged and unique position both geographically and strategically. Agreements with the United States, Canada, Europe and Latin America makes of Mexico a springboard to reach more than 40 countries with attractive exportation conditions. Specially, the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) has contributed to significant increase in trade and investment between the United States, Canada and Mexico. This market, the biggest in the world, represents a commercial value of 13 billion dollars with more than 420 millions inhabitants.

The goal of hosting a co-fonder of Probayes at INAOE is to exchange experience in technology transfer and know-how, increasing the cooperation between French and Mexican researchers, institutions and industry. Particularly in information technology, Mexico has more than two thousand companies with a large expansion rate. The country has more than half a million of excellent information technology professionals; it is the second-largest information technology market in Latin America with total revenue of $3 billion a year. In addition, in the last years the Mexican government has launched diverse programs for the development of the Information and Communication Technology.
The new Probayes office will ensure sales and technical support to North and Latin America. Initially, the office will be hosted by the National Institute for Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (INAOE) and will be managed by a Probayes co-founder. INAOE has some of the more prominent researchers in computer sciences in Mexico, particularly, in Bayesian networks. The goal of hosting a co-fonder of Probayes at INAOE is to exchange experience in technology transfer and know-how, increasing the cooperation between French and Mexican researchers, institutions and industry.
