French-Mexican Laboratory on Information Technology

Wednesday 20 February 2008, by Juan-Manuel Ahuactzin

The LAFMI [1] was created in January 2002 by the French Minister for Research, and the Mexican Science Foundation (CONACYT). This laboratory has been sponsored by the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), The French National Institute for Research on Computer Science and Control (INRIA) and Université Joseph Fourier (UJF). This laboratory opened a set of research projects in three main axes: (i) Image & Robotics and (ii) Distributed Systems and Data Bases, (ii) Telecommunications. From 2008 the LAFMI is trying to increase its scope to the European community.

My main contribution to the LAFMI concern the Image & Robotics Network.
