Project supported by the European community. The BIBA project proposed a novel application of the Bayesian approach in the domain of biological and artificial sensori-motor control and it is part of the NeuroIT Network of Excellence.

This project was organised along 3 axes of research and development:
- Neural basis of probabilistic inference;
- New probabilistic models and algorithms for perception and action;
- New probabilistic methodology and techniques for artefact conception and development.

This project developed new biological models, new methods and algorithms to design artifacts that adapt so as to act rationally with incomplete information.
