The transportation and mobility industries are on the front lines of the digital revolution.

And the term “autonomous vehicle” does not necessarily mean driverless car: The autonomous vehicle ecosystem includes all kinds of assistance systems inside and around vehicles. According to research by Gartner, autonomous vehicles will account for almost a quarter of all passenger cars by 2030. 

Challenge

Probayes is working on a number of projects to enhance and support automated driving.

We are developing solutions to:

  • Perceive the environment around the vehicle
  • Detect pedestrians, vehicles, cycles, and various other objects
  • Park the vehicle
  • Predict behavior
  • Predict trajectories
  • Estimate and predict collision hazards

The project

Deep learning algorithms were developed based on video streams and images generated by rear-view cameras.

To be able to operate in real time, the algorithms were implemented on an on-board hardware module for integration into the vehicle.

Results

These projects have positioned Probayes to deliver an unparalleled system that can generate predictions from sensor data in real time.

The on-board processing system can be integrated into the vehicle’s park assist module.
